𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐛𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐟𝐢𝐭𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐥𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐢𝐧𝐯𝐨𝐥𝐯𝐞𝐝 𝐢𝐧 𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐝𝐢𝐠𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐦𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐚 𝐭𝐨 𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭?

For this assessment three, we are told to create a podcast, and I choose a topic from week 10, which is "what the benefits and limitations are involved in using digital media to facilitate student learning engagement?" this podcast has a lot of content. At first, I'm using the opening to introduce myself, introduce my very first podcast, and a brief explanation about the topic that I'm going to discussing in the podcast. Then, next to the opening part, I explain the definition of digital media in general and explain what digital media education is. This aims to make the listener understand first the basic knowledge of digital media before I'm going any further. after I'm done with the opening, I came up to body paragraph 1 which is, going to the topic. I'm explaining the benefit of social media education in this part. I also use three examples of the daily basis of students that are experiencing the benefits. Because we already explain the benefits in the body paragraph 1, I will explain the limitations in body paragraph 2. I also use three examples of students' daily basis that experiencing the constraints of social media education. Lastly, for the conclusion, I conclude about what topic that I discussed. Apart from discussing the issue, I also added the background music to make my podcast sounds more cheerful and alive. First, I used the song “Home feat Ria” for my opening, and then I used the second song called “overseas” for my closing. To make it more interesting, I also used some special effect sound for the transition.

To create my podcast to become concrete, I used two academic articles. The first one is for the definition of digital media and the second one is for the conclusion that I made. Instead of using the same meaning word from the academic article, I used my own word or everyday language to allow the listener to understand what I'm saying clearly.

When I attempt to make this podcast, I found it exciting, but at the same time, I'm nervous when it comes to the recording. When I make the script, I can do it easily, but I always speak the wrong thing when it is time for the recording, so I need to repeat what I say until what I say is perfect. Through this making script of the podcast, I found something new and something useful that I can take. The digital media era has a high impact on people's lives, especially students. At the same time, I also used digital media for my education and studies.

Moreover, I started my college during the first Covid 19 pandemic, so, like it or not, I will always use digital media for my learning. For example, I'm using zoom for my lecture. I also started to used Twitter, Blogger, and podcasts for my knowledge and to communicate with my teacher and friends. I found it more exciting for me when now we are all using digital media for our education because I think it makes it easier for us to do our assessment and quiz. But at the same time, communicating with my friends to discuss something that I didn't understand is hard for me. 

Digital media helps in process teaching and learning. When it comes to education, students and teachers must work together for them to achieve their goals. to make the process of learning become more interesting, digital media should be flexible and also creative. Digital media also allows students to study independently and help them to express themselves. But, be careful digital media also can be a distraction for students; they can access all other platforms during class and doing them for any other purposes. 

In conclusion, digital media technology is very beneficial for students and can also make students learning more diverse.
