Copyright laws protect the rights of the author that prevents other people from copying their work and doing other things with their work that they may not like. in the other hand, it means we also respect other people works. imagine if you creating something and then other people just steal your work and they got the profit, it is so annoying.

I see myself potentiallly working as social media manager in the future so it is very important for me to know about the copyright laws if someday I want to create a content which requires me to take someone else's work. For people who working in communications major, it is a given that everyone in this field has spent at least a few hours straining their two sentence or less stock description of fair use for non-lawyers.  Yet there is one issue that underlies and affects almost every other issue handled by educated communications staff:  getting people to care about copyright.
